Curved Abalone and Pear shaped Moss Aquamarine Necklace

There is so much beauty in imperfection. This Curved Abalone and Pear shaped Moss Aqua Necklace is a great example of how a perceived flaw can bring that extra magic and abundance to you. My favorite details are the ones that were not designed but come naturally. A tiny flack of abalone missing gives way for this sweet rose gold and oxidized silver detail, see close up in photo 3. Also know as Wabi-Sabi in Japanese philosophy, to embrace the perfection of being imperfect.

Abalone and Moss Aquamarine is powerful mystically as well as a striking color combination. Abalone shell is a very cool material! It has an opalescence and mix of color and textures. Abalone has the energy of the ocean inside, its love, life, and flow. Moss Aquamarine is aptly called the Courage Stone. It is linked to the verbal expression of ideas and emotions. The gemstone is known to enhance spiritual communication with the inner-self.

Design:

This necklace is made from oxidized sterling silver with rose gold accents.

The abalone and moss aquamarine are bezel set. My custom bezels are handmade specifically for each individual stone. The key features of my bezels are the hand cut notches that are placed asymmetrically into the bezel as an added signature detail. The stone is completely surrounded on all sides by metal. It’s the most secure and stable setting.
